FUNDRAISING PILLAR POST by Barbara Giambastini, SPR Chair
Did you know that members can find out their total Laurel Society Donations by going to the SIA website? After clicking on the “Members Only” button click on the “Donate” button, then scroll down the page to “Give Now” and click it. On the next page you need to sign in with your user name and password; which takes you to a page that shows your total personal contributions and a list of every payment you have made. The page also allows you to make more donations. Once you are done, sign out.

Tip of the Month: How to be a New Member
Some helpful tips to our new members are: sit by someone you don’t know, remember to wear your name tag, volunteer at the first opportunity, stand and give your name when you speak to the group, be dependable, and enjoy yourself!
March Challenge: Choose from the following….
- Have your new members follow the Sierra Pacific Facebook (must notify Amory through email)
- Invite me to your next committee meeting or event
- Have a new member join a committee
Submit report to Amory Elizondo (spmembership@soroptimist.net) for your prize!
PROGRAM PILLAR POST by Gail Dekreon, SPR Chair
Dream It, Be It
SIA moved the curriculum materials to a password-protected webpage so we know which organizations are using them. All Soroptimist members will have easy access by entering your member username and password. Each member’s username is your six-digit member ID number. Each member’s initial password is your six-digit member number. You can update your member profile/change your password at http://www.soroptimist.org/members/membership/updateprofile.html. If you do not know your membership number ask your club secretary for it, she is the one who keeps up the roster for your club.
PUBLIC AWARENESS PILLAR POST by Kate McGuire, SPR Chair & the Public Awareness Team
Your region public awareness team is still accepting feedback to the surveys sent to all Public Awareness (PA) chairs at each club and to club presidents where there isn’t a designated PA chair. So far, we’ve heard from 20 of our 30+ clubs, so if you haven’t contacted us, you still have an opportunity to do so.
If you missed getting the survey we sent via email (twice), let Kate McGuire know at kate.mcguire@comcast.net and she’ll re-send a survey to you. Once we have all your feedback, our plan is to develop training sessions specifically designed to meet your PA needs. The team can also offer one-on-one support via email or Skype or any other method that works best for you. All we need is to hear from you!
