Tip of the Month: Retention Retention Retention!!
This is the month to work on RETENTION. Get in contact with those members you haven’t seen for a while. Tell them you’ve missed them and invite them back to your next meeting. Also, make sure your upcoming fees/dues are posted everywhere with a DEADLINE.
This is the biggest challenge of the year!! You can do it!!
June Challenge: Choose from the following and submit to Amory at spmembership@soroptimist.net
- 100 % membership retention from June to July (5 point total)
- Set Membership Goals for the next club year
- Host a club social (members only) over the Summer Break (extra point if you send a picture)
**Challenge completions will be added to your Shaping the Future Award application for 2018

Soroptimists Celebrating Success (SCS) Awards deadline is July 1st! These annual best practice awards recognize successful club projects that promote our mission as well as Soroptimist. There are four categories that encompass the four pillars supporting the SIA Strategic Plan: program, membership, fundraising and public awareness. Submit entries to one or all four categories to our SCS Region Chair Carlyn Lambert at carlynlambert@gmail.com or call her at 559-798-1970. PUBLIC AWARENESS PILLAR POST by Kate McGuire, SPR Chair & the Public Awareness Team
If you’ve recently elected new officers in your Soroptimist Club and you’re naming a new Public Awareness Chair, please let your region Public Awareness team know who she is and how to contact her, so she can be added to our Public Awareness Directory. As you know, we are now engaged in a one-on-one outreach effort to help our fellow public awareness club chairs use social media, websites and traditional media in the most effective ways. We’ll help with whatever you need to make the most of the tools we have.
