For Clubs and Members

Welcome Sierra Pacific Region Members!  Here are some quick resources you and your membership committee can use provided by headquarters. They are designed to help you recruit and retain members.

If you have any suggestions please send them to Region Committee Chair Gail Dekron at  Reach out if you need any assistance in implementing these tactics.  For more detailed information please visit the Membership Page at Soroptimist International of the America’s website.

4. Member Engagement When you click the link you will find these helpful suggestions:
(1) Host a Soroptimist Social on line: Many clubs have made the shift to operating and holding business meetings online. But have you participated in a virtual social event, with no official business at hand? Consider scheduling a regular social, perhaps on a monthly basis. This can be hosted on Zoom or another teleconference platform, or even by conference call. Take the opportunity to “get together” online with other Soroptimist members. In these socials, consider trying some of the following to make each virtual gathering fun and unique.
(2) Share and Care: We can create friendship and fellowship in a virtual setting! Now is great time to ask members with specialized skills to share with the rest of the club, and reach out to members to make them feel valued and cared for.

5. Digital Toolkit Apps and Tools You can Use, like Zoom and Facebook!

Now, more than ever, the women and girls we serve need us to dream big–to reinvent and reimagine how we serve our communities. This Digital Toolkit is a starter guide to help you connect with each other in new ways and continue the critical work you do in your communities
