Sierra Pacific Region Dream It Be It Speech Award
As Soroptimists, we know that our mission is not just about empowering women and girls in the moment—it’s about creating lasting pathways for them to carry their dreams forward. One of the most impactful programs we have is Dream It, Be It.
Across our region, countless young women have walked into those conferences unsure of their future, and walked out with new confidence, new tools, and new visions for what’s possible.
But we all know the journey doesn’t end at the conference. For many girls, the next step—whether it’s college, vocational training, or leadership programs—comes with barriers.
That is why the Sierra Pacific Region has created the Sierra Pacific Region Dream It Be It Speech Award
Purpose:
To recognize a girl who has participated in a Dream It, Be It program and demonstrated outstanding personal growth, leadership, resilience, and commitment to her future goals.
Eligibility:

Availability: Must be available to attend and present in person at the Soroptimist Sierra Pacific Region Conference on May 16. 2026, in Fresno, California, if selected as a finalist.

Adult Accompaniment: Girls under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or designated adult chaperone at the live final.
Waiver Requirement

Must submit a signed participation and media release waiver prior to competing.

Failure to meet eligibility requirements will result in disqualification.
Contest Timeline
- Online Video Submission Deadline: April 1, 2026
- Finalists Selected and Notified: April 15, 2026
- Live Final: May 16, 2026 (Sierra Pacific Region Conference – Fresno)
