“S” Clubs are high school service clubs sponsored by a Soroptimist Club with a school staff teacher/advisor and a Soroptimist club member-liaison to guide the students in their service and fundraising projects during the school year.
In March of every year the Region sponsors an “S” Club Conference as part of the Region’s Program Pillar. The S Club Conference is a one day event in the spring with the planning by S Club Chair and the Governor. The purpose of the conference is to promote the Soroptimist mission and be educational and focus on the development of leadership among our youth.
It is at this conference that the Mary Ellen George (MEG) scholarship applicants are interviewed by the Governor, Governor-elect and the MEG Committee Chair.
